Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Farmington,
Connecticut. This contract position is ideal for someone with
strong attention to detail and expertise in financial management
and accounting operations. The role involves overseeing key
accounting processes and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close procedures, including
preparation and review of financial statements. • Maintain and
reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and
compliance. • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper
documentation and adherence to accounting standards. • Conduct
account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. •
Perform bank reconciliations to verify transactions and balances. •
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis. •
Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and
workflow efficiency. • Ensure compliance with company policies and
applicable regulations in all financial activities. • Analyze
financial data to assist in decision-making and reporting. •
Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of
accounting practices.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in
accounting or financial management. • Proficiency in managing
month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Strong
knowledge of general ledger maintenance and reconciliation. •
Experience in preparing and posting journal entries. • Familiarity
with account reconciliation processes and techniques. • Ability to
perform bank reconciliations with attention to detail. • Excellent
analytical and organizational skills. • Effective communication
skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
