Job Duties and Responsibilitie

ROLES EXPECTATIONS:
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for performing work measurement studies on Manufacturing Assembly process with equipment, conveyance, and human work for operations and to optimize gross margin through capacity improvement and streamline operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Identify, quantify, compare, and execute Work Measurement Studies, Ergonomics evaluations and detailed Man assignments by using MOST System of work measurement.
  • Conduct work measurement studies for equipment, conveyance, and human work to optimize operational efficiency and productivity for the engineering stakeholders.
  • Identify value-adding and non-value-adding tasks in operations and streamline processes by providing line-balancing options and eliminating redundant tasks.
  • Identify improvements to drive safety and ergonomics, quality (first pass yield), availability (uptime), performance (cycle time variability), capital utilization, and demand attainment for manufacturing assembly process.
  • Work cross functionally to develop and implement best practices for assembly and standard work instructions.
  • Identify, propose, manage, and monitor manufacturing improvements.
  • Use predetermined time standard methods to analyse and optimize current and future planned Assembly processes.
  • Create and implement tools to audit efficiency and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Manage and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions.
  • Create and maintain Value Stream Maps and cycle line layouts.

    REQUIREMENTS:


    • BE in Industrial, Manufacturing, or equivalent engineering field.
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
    • Must be certified in MOST and have relevant experience using MOST to generate man assignments.
    • Experience of working in process (cycle time) efficiency improvement project.
    • Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
    • Exemplary verbal and written communication skill
