Systems & Automation LLC is currently seeking Field Service
Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will report to the
Customer Care Manager and work closely with multiple departments,
including sales, engineering, operations, and customer service, to
ensure customer expectations are exceeded with each assignment. You
will travel to customer sites to perform planned services,
troubleshoot issues, make repairs, recommend spare parts, provide
customer phone support, and complete upgrades and modernization of
equipment. You will be responsible to deliver total equipment
lifecycle management services including, installation, start up and
commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, equipment
audits and training. A qualified candidate will possess the
electrical and mechanical aptitudes in order to effectively
communicate issues or problems discovered in the field and the
discipline to be able to perform in time-pressured and intensive
work requirements. This position will require a minimum of 6-8
weeks of onsite training at our factory in Lowell, Arkansas.
Additional in the field training with senior field service
technicians will follow at customer sites. Responsibilities:
Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide
installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive
maintenance, audits, retrofits, and training services. Perform
mechanical and electrical modifications to equipment. Conduct site
visit meetings with customer contacts to include explanation of job
scope and work completed. Conduct training with customer personnel
to ensure understanding of the sequence of operations, proper
functionality, and general maintenance of equipment. Dismantle
machines for refurbishment or relocation. Achieve service delivery
goals including response time, first time fix and customer
satisfaction rates. Communicate effectively with field service
management and the internal service support team to resolve
customer issues efficiently. Provide technical support to customers
via phone and email, including off-hour and weekend emergency
technical support on a scheduled rotation. Responsible for timely
and accurate documentation of all service activities. Provide
equipment reliability feedback to quality engineering and
collaborate on improvements. Attend training classes and technician
meetings as required. Comply to industry, company and customer safe
working practices. Skills: Solid knowledge and interaction of
mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components. Interpret complex
technical information involving mechanics and electronics,
including schematics. Servo drives and motors configuration.
Experience with robotics and industrial robot applications is
beneficial. Microsoft Windows Office Suite of applications.
Analytical ability to solve problems and determine root causes.
Ability to make timely, informed decisions that consider facts,
goals, constraints, and risks. Ability to self-manage time and
resources to achieve objectives. Qualifications: Minimum of a
technical degree in a related field or 3 years in technical-related
work experience. Experience in the maintenance, installation and
troubleshooting of large capital equipment is beneficial.
Background in the packaging machinery industry and industrial
automation is a positive. Experience and ability to travel
extensively, including overnight, some weekends throughout the week
away from home. Reliable and self-motivated. Detail-oriented and
close attention to accuracy. Effective written and verbal
communication skills. Physical Demands: This position will involve
working in operating facilities and outdoors, traveling to numerous
customer locations. The employee will encounter varying weather
conditions and temperatures. The usual auto hazards will apply.
This position will be frequently working on equipment with
potential hazard. Appropriate safety equipment and practices are
required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Occasionally may be
required to lift items weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to
push/pull up to 100 pounds. Position requires sitting, standing,
walking, twisting, climbing and crawling. Position requires
bending, stooping, kneeling, or squatting with handling and outward
reaching daily. Position requires driving to and from customer
locations. The position requires varying methods of travel to and
from customer locations and frequent overnight stays away from
home. Requirements: Minimum 21 years of age. Valid drivers license.
Clean driving record. Ability to rent a car & travel worldwide.
Valid or the ability to obtain an unrestricted U.S. passport.
Availability to travel extensively domestically and
internationally, including over weekends and off shift times.
Flexibility for a varied work schedule. This is a full-time
position with the availability to be based out of our facility in
Lowell, Arkansas, or remotely from your home location. The hours
for this position are variable based on the specific need of our
business and customers; overtime and travel will be required.
Salary will commensurate based on qualifications, experience and
