Job Description:
West Fraser, a leader in the North American integrated wood
products industry, is seeking a skilled Night Electrician to join
our Engineering & Maintenance team. This position plays a crucial
role in maintaining the operational excellence and safety of our
manufacturing facilities, which produce a variety of wood products
and renewable energy. As a Night Electrician, you will ensure all
electrical systems and equipment are in optimal working condition
to support our continuous production operations during night
shifts. Perform routine electrical maintenance and emergency
repairs on manufacturing equipment and infrastructure. Troubleshoot
and resolve issues with electrical circuits, systems, and machinery
in a timely and efficient manner. Install new electrical systems
and equipment as per specifications and safety standards. Conduct
regular safety checks and preventive maintenance to minimize
downtime and maintain safety. Collaborate with maintenance and
production teams to optimize electrical usage and functionality
across the facility. Document all repair and maintenance work done
on shift logs and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with
national and local safety codes and regulations. Proficiency in
troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and industrial
equipment. Strong understanding of electrical code regulations and
safety procedures. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and
technical documents. Experience with industrial automation and
control systems. Good communication and teamwork skills. Medical

Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician. Certification in Industrial
Electrical Systems is considered a plus.
