Job Description Job Description Controls Engineer Title: Controls Engineer Location: Sallisaw, OK (74955) Pay: $70,000 - $105,000 What You Will Be Doing Design and develop control systems and automation strategies for manufacturing and industrial equipment. Program and configure PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, and SCADA systems. Perform system integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of control hardware and software. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to achieve project goals. Create and maintain documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and company policies. Provide support and training to maintenance and operations teams. Stay current with automation technologies and recommend improvements. What You Need For This Job Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field. 2 to 5 years of experience in controls engineering or automation. Proficiency in PLC programming (ladder logic, structured text), HMI design, and SCADA configuration. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus. Preferred: robotics, motion control, vision systems, Python, C++, MATLAB, DCS systems, CCST or PE certification. Strong understanding of control theory, instrumentation, and system dynamics. Experience with CAD software and interpreting electrical schematics. Effective problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
