Hiring Requirements:--Candidate must successfully pass credit review, drug screen, criminal background check and--provide professional--employment references.Position Summary - Vice President--of FinanceThe VP of Finance works with the other members of the Finance department and executive management to minimize balance sheet risk and add to TTCU's financial strength. The VP of Finance leads the Financial Analysts in providing timely, accurate information to help drive effective decision making. This position proactively develops ideas and strategies to ensure TTCU achieves financial success. The VP of Finance performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities1.--Manage direct reports to maximize the productivity and quality of work completed by the Finance staff. This includes hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring performance, coaching, training, and assuring compliance with regulations and organizational values.2.--Proactively recommend strategies that help TTCU achieve financial goals. Strategies will include deposit and loan pricing, interest rate risk management, product structures, liquidity management, enhancements to fee revenue, and other strategies that will contribute to the financial stability and success of TTCU.3.--Collaborate with the Chief Financial and Technology Officer to manage TTCU's Investment and Borrowing portfolios utilizing the Total Return and Total Cost methodology. Manage Investment reporting functions including the monthly Board report, pre-purchase write-ups, total return lookbacks, and any other report or analysis that helps support effective Investment portfolio management. Recommend borrowing strategies that reduce interest rate risk and facilitate effective liquidity management, while minimizing projected total cost across interest rate scenarios.4.--Provide leadership throughout TTCU's Budget and ALM processes. During the Budget cycle, the primary focus is with forecasting interest-bearing accounts and non-interest revenue. However, the VP of Finance will scrutinize all inputs and results. The VP of Finance will have primary responsibility for coordinating the ALM packet each quarter. This includes managing the comprehensive ALM risk analysis, developing savings rate recommendations, and any other relevant analysis that impacts TTCU's balance sheet management in the context of current trends.5.--Manage TTCU financial reporting and analytical functions, including recurring reports and ad hoc requests. All reporting and analytics should be completed with a high level of intelligence and accuracy. The VP of Finance should always be looking to improve the quality and effectiveness of TTCU reporting and analytics.6.--Effectively communicate results of analyses and recommendations in various organizational meetings with Board members, the TTCU executive team, other management and staff.Minimum QualificationsEducational RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline requiredMasters in Business Administration preferredCertificates/LicensesCertified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Financial Officer preferredMust have and maintain a valid driver's licenseExperienceMinimum of 10-12--years' experience required with responsibility for balance sheet management at a financial institution, preferably a credit union or community bank.4 years of experience managing employeesPosition CompetenciesDecision MakingMakes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; most solutions and suggestions turn out to be correct and accurate when judged over time; sought out by others for advice and solutions.------------Develop OthersDevelops others through coaching, feedback, and challenging stretch goals, tasks and assignments; holds frequent development discussions; aligns employee career development coals with organizational needs.----------------Functional ExpertisePossesses a sufficient level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeps up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise; actively seeks ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development activities.----------Interpersonal SavvyRelates well to all kinds of people at all levels, inside and outside the organization; builds appropriate rapport; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse even high- tension situations comfortably.--------------Maintain AccountabilityEnsures that employees understand the full range of their responsibilities with an emphasis upon standards and results.
