In this position, you will establish and maintain a quality culture in Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, controlling quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Reporting to the Hub Americas Division Manager, PAMA, you will assure the effective implementation, maturity assessment and improvement of all processes along all Hub value chains to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment for all businesses within a geographic area. Responsible for providing leadership and guidance and for maintaining the quality management system used across the HUB Americas, that includes developing and deploying the quality improvement plans, coordinate quality assurance programs, formulate quality control policies, and development of QA resources. This function includes the guiding development, implementation and maintenance of a strategic quality plans aligned with HUB business and strategic goals in each manufacturing, service or sales unit. Position will lead the development and implementation of appropriate standards, policies, procedures, specifications, people practices and training initiatives that govern quality activities encompassing all phases of business processes.

Your responsibilities

Coordinate strategies: Understands and provides input to the various Division Quality and Operational Excellence (Q&OpEx) strategies, promotes and supports their local deployment to accelerate the rate of operational improvement, and resulting cost savings, across businesses within a country
Drive standardization: Initiates, writes, issues and ensures conformance with applicable directives, instructions and guidelines to drive standardization and promote a standard and systematic approach to continuously improve business practices and performance. Assures that an appropriate site quality management system is developed and maintained consistent with business and regulatory needs throughout the Business Unit (BU) operations. Coordinates correct reporting, visualization, accurate and timely communication of the quality policy, quality principles, and quality performance
Facilitate issue resolution: Engages with Customers and local/global ABB resources to ensure that customer issues in multi Business Unit supply contracts are resolved in a coordinated and timely manner to the satisfaction of stakeholders. Oversee investigation process of customer complaints (CCRP). Built sufficient review mechanism to ensure high on time and quality of issue resolution. Leads initiatives to address negative customer issues or feedback trends
Ensure conformance: Promotes the ABB operating system within the local business units, ensures the use of certified management systems for operational excellence across all functions and businesses within the country. Develops new ways to better facilitate quality processes and functions. Provide oversight for all quality management activities, including quality monitoring systems, quality reviews, analysis, reporting, corrective actions, readiness reviews, project reviews, and associated follow up actions
People leadership and development: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.Trains others on several quality topics both in a classroom setting as well as in shop floor. Leads others in improvements on quality and generally improving processes. Establishes a participative environment by being a role model, providing and facilitating communication, building a team atmosphere, and recognizing/fostering individual and team development. Influences and encourages continuous improvement with respect to quality and quality processes
These are additional responsibilities over the ones in above: Support in new product introduction process to ensure compliance to quality systems and successful integration of new products into operations
Acts as a project manager in Business Line quality related initiatives

Your background

Bachelors degree / advanced degree desirable and minimum 12 years related experience
Operations experience
Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
Strong self motivation, the ability and willingness to work independently, and within a team environment with strong follow up, organization and prioritization skills and excellent attention to detail
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
