Executive Vice President of Operations -For 80+ years, Hirschbach Motor Lines has built a sterling reputation for delivering time and temperature sensitive freight. Hirschbach & JCT have a tenured history paired with a future of growth and opportunity.Summary of Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the co-CEO, the Executive Vice President is responsible for overseeing JCT's Tulsa, Oklahoma Operations team - generating roughly $450 million in top line revenue, with roughly 700 trucks. 75% of the fleet are comprised of owner operators/lease purchase operators and the remaining 25% are company drivers. This opportunity provides ongoing operational strategy to continually deliver best-in-class services to our customers and team of professional drivers.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership:

Provides senior level direction and planning for day-to-day operations.Works closely with the senior management team to address potential strategic operating issues. -Implements action plans to solve organizational and/or departmental problems. -Creates and fosters a positive environment for drivers, customers, and employees in order to achieve Best in Class Service. Maintains high levels of communications within and between various functional areas of responsibility as well as with customers.Attends and contributes to enterprise level senior leadership meetings, offering ideas, insights and recommendations on company policies, processes, customer service, new business opportunities, and other topics that improve company results.Provides inspired leadership and drives coordinated, metrics-driven results and a results-oriented culture of accountability throughout the organization. - -Mentors and develops team members. - -Operational Excellence:
Focuses on high level organizational goals including truck count, retention, utilization, and overall profitability of Tulsa operations.Coordinates effective use of carriers to meet both inbound and outbound capacity, service, and least cost objectives.Provides strategic direction in relation to all shipping data including net pricing and all accessorial charges, driving efficiency and cost reduction.Creates transportation capacity strategies and developing contingency plans to cost-effectively support varying levels of company sales and changes to supply/demand patterns.Analyzes and assesses industry and market dynamics on a regular basis to evaluate transportation costs and service trends.Develops and implements operational plans, budgets, and activities in accordance with company objectives and strategic goals.
In partnership with commercial sales team, directs activities that support sales growth initiatives to increase market share.Talent Requirements and Skills:
7-10 years of truckload transportation experience, paired with other relevant professional experience. -Bachelor's Degree preferred. -Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and energy. -Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. -Computer proficiency and ability to navigate between multiple programs. -Demonstrates an "All In to Win" attitude and displays self-motivation and a strong desire to learn within an unpredictable and demanding environment. - -Our Vision:
