Construction Manager

Salary Commensurate with Experience

$1,000 sign-on bonus

SUMMARY

Assist the Vice President of Construction Services in overseeing THA planning, construction, and construction contracting activities. Assist in leading a staff of professional service consultants and construction inspectors to develop requirements, plans, and/or specifications for the rehabilitation and modernization of Tulsa Housing Authority (THA) facilities. Recommend engagement of professional Architectural and Engineering firms; recommend for approval contract technical and cost terms and conditions and ensure work is completed, both properly and timely. Develop, analyze, and maintain construction schedules, cost estimates, scopes of work, and RFP/Q's for multiple projects on an ongoing basis. Experience with substantial renovation and new construction of large scale multifamily apartment units and Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) is preferred.

  THA provides publicly assisted housing comprised of traditional public housing, mixed-finance sites, and housing vouchers. Currently, THA provides assistance to more than 20,000 individuals, or 7,200 families. THA is governed by a voluntary Board of Commissioners, each of whom is appointed by the Mayor of the City of Tulsa. The board employs THA's President/CEO, who in turn employs the remainder of THA's staff of approximately 200 team members.
  
  Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, project management, construction management, or a related field and five years of experience managing large multifamily capital planning projects or master planning activities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Professional Engineer, Architect, Project Management Professional, Construction Manager, and/or General Contracting license is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with substantial renovation and new construction of large scale multifamily apartment units and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) experience is preferred.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
