Job Description:

A full-time Endoscopy Nurse Manager position is available in Tulsa, OK, requiring a strong leader to promote quality patient care and efficient healthcare.





As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning and program development to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.

• Manages and coordinates the operational activities of assigned departments.
  
• Administers personnel actions, including recruiting skilled staff, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
  
• Develops and interprets hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care.
  
• Establishes and maintains communication between ancillary departments, physicians, nursing personnel and other healthcare professionals.
  
• Develops and directs the implementation of policies and procedures within assigned units.
  
• Determines fiscal requirements and prepares budgetary recommendations.
  
• Develops, implements and evaluates performance improvement plans in response to opportunities in patient care areas.
  
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional support to employees, patients, friends and families.
  
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  
• Minimum of 3-5 years' clinical nursing experience in area of specialty preferred.
  
• Bachelor's in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required.
  
• Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing.
  
• Certification in clinical specialty preferred.
  
• Maintains current BLS.

• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of nursing and healthcare administration.
  
• Demonstrated ability to make sound clinical assessments and institute safe and efficacious care within the structure of a collaborative health team.
  
• Considerable knowledge of requirements by federal, state or regulatory bodies.
  
• Considerable knowledge of effective workforce utilization.
  
• Knowledge of general financial management.
