Job Description:

Description Award-winning hospitality management company seeks an experienced, team-oriented General Manager - IHG brand expert preferred. The Dual General Manager will function as the primary management leader accountable for all aspects of front office operations including guest relations management, team recruiting/team building, employee retention, impeccable financials, brand standards, proactive sales, and achieving budgeted revenues/profits, while maintaining the operational and service standards prescribed by Leisure Hospitality Management. - Required to work a minimum of 50 hours/week; set schedule as determined in occupancies of Hotel. - Approach all encounters with guests and Associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. - Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards; maintain shifts and cover for absent/call-in shifts. - Resolve all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service, via written communication and/or phone calls. - Monitor service trends by speaking with guests, reviewing guest comments (online or comment card), and guest tracking information to ensure brand and Leisure Hospitality Management service standards are achieved. - Responsible in selection, training, counseling, and motivating of hourly Associates in departments. - Strict adherence and enforcement of our code of business conduct; provides disciplinary action when needed. - Direct all Associates in ongoing use of brand standard Training Programs; provides Associates with tools they need to perform their jobs. - Recognize Associates for demonstrating outstanding service initiatives with guests and fellow Associates. - Participate and conduct weekly Leadership Team meetings. - Promote teamwork and Associate morale. - Maintain inventory control of Hotel supplies needed for day to day Hotel operations; include managing product orders. - Ensure effective departmental communication and information systems through logs and Hotel department meetings. - Responsible for sanitation standards via monthly inspections of (minimum) 25 guest rooms, public areas, grounds, storage/work areas, and all kitchen areas. - Ensure that preventative maintenance programs are completed on schedule and meet brand and Leisure Hospitality Management quality standards. - Assist in the implementation and execution of revenue programs to ensure that the Hotel's room occupancy, average daily rate, and RevPAR objectives are met; participate in revenue strategy calls. - Remain current on room rates, room availability and emergency procedures. - Understand competitive market conditions. - Participate in developing Hotel's direct sales plan/pricing strategy. Ensure group/meeting arrangements are completed and executed. - Represent the Hotel in the market and develop relationships with Key Accounts. - Coordinate and administer the daily transmittal of cash and checks to the bank. - Responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers. - Prepare designated weekly and month-end reports as requested by LHM. - Maintain key control program that is already in place - both hard key and guestroom keycards. - Participate in community activities, Associate functions, and guest events. - Ensure proper communication and teamwork are continuous with sister properties - Responsible for promoting the Hotel core values: Honesty, Personal Integrity, and Team Before Self. - Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental LHM policies. - Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. - Perform 'Manager on Duty' responsibilities as required; trained in Food & Beverage operations. - Other duties may be assigned. - Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed. Requirements Requirements: - Must have 3+ years previous experience as a General Manager or Asset Leader. - Must have experience in managing teams of 30+ employees with minimal turnover. - Enjoy being involved with TEAM, being involved with GUESTS - high level of energy and enthusiasm. - Exceptionally organized, meticulous, and task-oriented. - A true Leader - not a 'Boss;' must motivate, inspire, and lead - not above working in trenches w/Team. - Sales Savvy a plus / Proficient in Revenue Management. - Articulate - effective communicator with individuals of all levels. - Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and STS (Sales database).
