Respiratory Therapist RRT - OPT - Cardiac Pulmonary Services - INTEGRIS Grove Hospital - Oklahoma

RRT Experience Preferred

Occasional Part Time (OPT) at INTEGRIS usually requires a minimum of one shift per pay period. It is a great way to earn supplemental income. This position will have days/nights; one weekend per month and one major & one minor holiday.

Position Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist RRT assumes the responsibility to coordinate and deliver respiratory care to patients. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

Essential Functions:

The Respiratory Therapist RRT responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Coordinates and delivers respiratory care to patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting
* Responsible for the assessment and re-assessment, development of the plan of care, implementation and evaluation of appropriate respiratory patient care interventions
* Responsible for Cardiac Stress test on inpatient/outpatients to include, but not limited to Nuclear Stress tests
* Maintains and monitors the mechanical ventilation of patients

Accountability:

The Respiratory Therapist RRT reports to the Manager Cardiopulmonary Services.

Qualifications:

* 1 or 2 year degree from a College or Technical School in the field of Respiratory Care
* Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (OSBMLS). The incumbent may work under a 'temporary Letter to practice' issued by OSBMLS until the board meets to issue their Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
* Current Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner license
* PALS, NRP, ACLS (within 6 months or at next available class)
* 6 months experience preferred
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English
