What You'll Do The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. S/He is responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for pain management patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. S/He collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. S/He serves in a resource role when oriented and as directed. S/He supports the organization's vision and mission. S/He utilizes knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. S/He contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. The successful candidate will be able to: Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes Maintain confidentiality with all information Perform any and all other duties as assigned --- Demonstrates professional responsibility in the role of the Pain Management RN. --- Complies with personnel policies and hospital safety policies. --- Maintains confidentiality when interacting with patients, families, personnel and the public. --- Performs duties as directed by the Manager, Pain Management or (relief) Charge Nurse. --- Reports any problems to the Manager in a timely manner. --- Assesses patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to assigned patients. --- Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for care of patient. --- Evaluates identified problems; assesses care provided and patient response to meet patient needs and ensure overall quality of care delivered. --- Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure quality care and integration of information for use by healthcare team. --- Maintains current knowledge / certification / licensure. Pursues professional growth and development opportunities. --- Supports and promotes Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management Programs. --- Adequately prepares procedure area before patient arrives to the room.
