Overview The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for assessing, planning, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nurses process, the medical plan of care and policies. 1. Will work independently with minimal supervision and utilize policy and procedures of the facility to guide in proper course of action. 2.

Delivers quality nursing care with a focus on excellent customer service. 3. Participates within a team centered proactive approach to patient care. 4.

Demonstrates high level prioritizing, critical thinking and independent decision making skills. 5. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs across the age continuum. 6.

Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and changes in condition as appropriate to the provider and by utilizing the electronic medical record and appropriate forms. 7. Assess, coordinate, facilitate and document thorough patient discharge planning/education, transfers, and admissions. 8.

Demonstrates appropriate delegation to team members to maximize quality of care and utilization of services and resources. 9. Demonstrates ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all members of the interdisciplinary team, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. 10.

Demonstrates ability to competently perform all duties of an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. 11. Demonstrates confidentiality, professional responsibility, patient advocacy and accountability at all times. 12.

Initiate and document infection control precautions, utilize appropriate PPE, provide education to patient and family per policy. 13. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

Technical/Formal Training: Must obtain and maintain a current certification in CPR. ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Knowledge/ Skill/Abilities: Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.

Qualifications Experience: Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as an R.N., preferably in the area of application. Licensure: Must possess a current Oklahoma licensure as a Registered Nurse. Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.
