Job Description:
Essential Functions of the Position
- Administers all wellness programs in the organization.
- Promotes mental health and wellness initiatives in the
organization; answers questions and collects feedback from
participants.
- Prepares and reviews universal screening, observations, and
assessment reports.
- Collaborates with the Human Resource departments to identify
cost-effective wellness programs and incentives.
- In accordance with applicable law, assesses and analyzes the
general physical and mental health needs of the employee
population.
- Develops plans and programs to support these needs.
- Designs, plans, and implements classes, speakers, seminars,
personal training, and voluntary fitness assessments to promote
healthy lifestyles.
- Assists employees with personal concerns and assessments;
provides recommendations and referrals for counseling, crisis
intervention, and treatment.
- Travels from site to site to assist team members.
- Drafts and maintains accurate, confidential records and reports
as required to track and assess employee participation, program
incentives, costs, and benefits to the company.
- Drafts reports and proposals for wellness initiatives and
action plans (including cost-benefit analyses) for presentation to
leadership.
- Assists with preparation and implementation of wellness budget,
policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as determined by the Human Resources
Director and senior leadership. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in preparing a variety of records, reports, and
correspondence using appropriate format and computer software.
- Ability to design effective and motivating presentations and
training programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish
and maintain effective working relationships and ability to
interact with employees at all levels, both in person and through
phone, e-mail and written correspondence.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure proper work
practices.
- Must maintain high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict
deadlines.
- Effective management and conflict resolution strategies.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; skill in
working in an environment subject to constant interruptions and
quickly changing priorities; ability to prioritize and delegate
responsibilities when necessary; effective time-management skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No direct supervisory responsibilities but will manage projects
and activities as directed. Physical Demands
- Required to walk, sit, stand and move about the property for
periods of time.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 lbs. Work
Environment
- Work performed in an office setting and off-site.
- Some exposure to external environmental conditions, such as
heat, cold, rain, snow and ice.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Psychology or related
field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of counseling, employee assistance or health
education experience required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- State Certified Behavioral Health license preferred.
- LCP, LCSW or LMFT preferred.
- Demonstrated successful consultation, communication, and
leadership skills.
- Demonstrated psychological assessment and report writing
skills.
- Demonstrated counseling skills in a variety of settings.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
