Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of level 3 or 4 NICU experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Caring for NICU infants, including High Frequency vents, conventional vents, CPAP, NIMV, HFNC, Nitric, whole body cooling, OG/NG/PO feedings, UAC, UVC, PICC, and PIV. Attending high-risk deliveries and cesarean section deliveries. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the NICU. The nurse will be responsible for caring for level 3 NICU infants. The role involves handling various equipment such as high-frequency vents and conventional vents. Nurses will also be responsible for attending high-risk deliveries. Weekly guaranteed hours will be 36. Patient ratios may depend on patient acuity. Typically, the ratios are 3 feeders, 2 CPAP, 1 nitric, and 1 cooling. The unit has 25 beds with overflow on the pediatric floor. Preferred certification includes STABLE. The dress code requires black scrubs. This is an opportunity to provide compassionate care to critically ill infants.
