Rang Healthcare is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Job Responsibilities: -Performs MRI examinations according to department policy and protocols. -Includes preparing and positioning patients for MRI procedures of various parts of the body. -Positioning includes setting up equipment (coils, monitoring devices, etc.) and the patient in relation to each other to provide the best demonstration of the body part under study. -Performs Quality Control tests on department equipment, reporting any discrepancies to the proper personnel. -Collects and evaluates relevant examination information from scheduling, patient, and referring physician, including screening information. -Maintains departmental records and patient information according to policy. -Is responsive to the patient's physical and psychological needs. -Keeps patient informed. -Explains all procedures in a clear and concise manner without causing unnecessary anxiety. -Listens to and answers patient questions with patience and courtesy. -Performs safety procedures for outpatients, inpatients, patient families, and for hospital staff. -Screens patients and personnel for any metal objects or implants on them that would cause harm to the patient or equipment. -Ensures that no patient/visitor/healthcare worker enters the scan room with metal objects or contraindicated implants. -Evaluates results of scanning procedure for quality of results and completeness. -Manipulates images through the use of the console keyboard and mouse to display to the physician. -Using the terminal, you can select all image display options. -Recognizes problems and rectifies with respect to the selection made of the operation. -Sends images to PACS system, evaluates exam for completeness, and verifies exam in a timely manner. -Develops a working knowledge of all PACS capabilities. -Maintains accurate documentation on the logbook worksheet and charging of examination and all supplies. -Seeks advice from appropriate resource when unsure of protocol or policy. -Independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field. -Works directly with patients and/or customers. -Works with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. -Works with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. -Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Required Skills & Experience: -Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience. -Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. -Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently. Required Education: -Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. OR -Completion of an MRI-accredited program. Required Certification & Licensure: -Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
