health system is seeking a neonatal physician for locum tenens
coverage. About the Facility Location The facility is located in
Oklahoma. About the Clinician's Workday This NICU has 58 beds and
operates with six neonatologists on weekdays (three on weekends)
supported by APPs, with 50-60 patients divided among the teams.
Physicians work either 12-hour shifts, which include 6-8 hours in
the hospital plus additional compensation after eight hours, or
24-hour call shifts with rounds followed by overnight call with
residents. Each physician rounds on their own team daily, typically
seeing 6-8 babies post-call if fully staffed, and while ECMO is not
required, it is available for those who wish to provide it.
