Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide
range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art
technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance
has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient
safety. Responsibilities: Coordinate and prepare
radio-pharmaceuticals for patient procedures. Educate and support
patients to promote comfort and cooperation. Perform a variety of
nuclear medicine and cardiology imaging studies, including image
acquisition, processing and patient monitoring. Maintain high
standards for imaging quality and patient positioning to ensure
accurate diagnostic results. Use PACS systems proficiently.
Maintain inventory and documentation related to
radio-pharmaceuticals including receiving, dispensing and disposal.
Job Requirements: Must be registered with the American Registry of
Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) with advanced certification in
Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or be a graduate of an approved School of
Nuclear Medicine Technology and be registry eligible. If registry
eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of
employment and maintain registry while employed. BLS certification
must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role
and prior to providing direct patient care. LI
