Pay Information $1,780 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical Profession: RN Medical/Surgical Specialty: RN Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 13.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NIH Must-Have: - Critical thinking skills - Decisive judgment - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Capability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. This department serves adult patients and has telemetry capability. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6. The unit is supported by PCTs and a healthcare unit coordinator.
