License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: Wound Certification preferred. BLS certification required. Must-Have: Self-rating of 3 or above for cardiac skills. Basic dysrhythmia training preferred with a self-rating of 3 or above. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients with various wound care needs. The nurse will assess and manage wounds, develop care plans, and implement treatment protocols. Duties include performing dressing changes, debridement, and education for patients and families. A strong understanding of wound care products and techniques is essential. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. No float during this assignment is expected. There is no requirement for on-call duties. The job involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations. The nurse will manage ongoing wound assessments and record keeping using electronic charting. This role may involve working with patients experiencing altered mental status, diabetes, and infections. Attendance is crucial, as any missed shifts will count toward the facility's attendance policy. The role requires the completion of assigned training modules before the start of the assignment. Preparation for potential challenges in patient load is necessary. Knowledge and experience in wound care are critical for success in this position. The nurse will follow all policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
