Details Weekly Gross Rate up to $2,977 Department: Associate Travel Program - Surgical Services Schedule: Multiple shifts , 40 hours per week Hospital: Multiple acute care hospitals Location: Local and national travel options are available depending on need. This position is a permanent, full time position made up of 13 week travel assignments - not a short term option or temporary contract. Rates vary by location and specialty. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer. Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure. Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Work Experience: One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required. Additional Preferences One year of recent experience in Surgical Services as a Circulating or Scrub RN strongly preferred. Local and national travel options are available depending on need.
