Job Description:
Ascension seeks a dedicated RN - Nursing Professional
Development Specialist who is passionate about lifelong learning
and inspiring others. This integral role supports our mission to
transform healthcare by providing dynamic education and training
solutions to nursing staff, enhancing their professional skills and
promoting high-quality patient care. Located within our supportive
network of hospitals and clinics, this position is pivotal in
fostering clinical excellence and innovation in nursing practices.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve training programs and
educational materials for nursing staff. Evaluate the effectiveness
of educational sessions and make data-driven recommendations for
enhancements. Stay abreast of the latest nursing practices and
integrate current trends into training modules. Facilitate hands-on
clinical training sessions and workshops, ensuring compliance with
the latest healthcare regulations and standards. Collaborate with
nursing leadership to identify learning needs and tailor programs
accordingly. Coach and mentor nursing staff, providing feedback and
support to foster professional growth. Manage accreditation
processes and maintain records of training activities in compliance
with national and state regulations. Strong knowledge of clinical
nursing practices and theories. Proficiency in designing and
implementing effective training and curriculum plans. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills for effective teaching and
mentoring. Ability to assess learning needs and evaluate training
effectiveness. Skills in using educational technology and
e-learning platforms. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of practice. Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or similar
educational certification is highly preferred.
