Description: Job Summary: Provides direct nursing care in
accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols
ofthe healthcare organization.Responsibilities: Implements and
monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates
patient condition asappropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of
all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and
carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates
patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare
team.Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical
thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with
minimalsupervision. Must be able to work in a stressful
environment.Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard
Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Unit
Description: These are 28 bed cardiac telemetry units caring for
all cardiac needs including post op care. Nurse to patient ratio is
1:4-6. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit
coordinator. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available
as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry.This is a
Level I trauma center serving a population of all ages. The nurses
work together in teams and are supported by PCTs and a unit
