Job Description Details - Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room - Schedule: Full Time Day Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm - Call required. Responsibilities Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical or other invasive procedures. - Perform both scrub functions and handling of instruments and supplies used during complex cardiovascular surgical procedures. - Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient during cardiovascular procedures. - Assist operating physicians and anesthesia with accessing and maintaining lines and intubation during cardiovascular procedures. - Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): - Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - One or more of the following: - Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
