Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Registered
Nurse to join our Inpatient Post Surgical Unit. As a vital member
of our faith-based healthcare organization, you will play a key
role in our mission to transform healthcare through innovation
while providing personalized and compassionate care. This position
requires a highly skilled nurse who can efficiently manage
postoperative patient care and ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
Join our team and be a part of our community-focused approach,
delivering high-quality healthcare across our network of
facilities. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to
post-surgical patients based on the application of scientific
nursing principles. Monitor patient health and recovery,
recognizing signs of complications and responding promptly.
Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized
interventions in alignment with medical prescriptions and treatment
plans. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, other nurses,
and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and their families on surgical recovery processes,
healthcare management, and preventative measures post-discharge.
Document and maintain accurate patient records, adhering to
confidentiality and data protection protocols. Strong foundational
knowledge in postoperative care procedures and protocols.
Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records
(EHR). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to
make swift, logical decisions in high-pressure situations. High
level of empathy and patience with the ability to provide comfort
to patients. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in
the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
preferred.
