Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Edmond, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,146 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Edmond, Oklahoma, 73034! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Current RN License issued by the state board of nursing or a current multistate compact RN License Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association. ACLS from the American Heart Association. Must-Have: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes physiological manifestations, and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with families and patients in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures is required. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors is necessary.
