Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 - Experience with Epic charting system - Skill in blood product administration - Skill in wound care and management Description: This position is for a Medical Surgical Nurse on the night shift. The nurse will be assigned to a unit with a capacity of 25 beds. The nurse will be expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6. The role requires floating to like units as needed within the scope of practice. Weekend shifts are required as part of the schedule. The nurse will provide care for adults and geriatric patients with mixed medical-surgical diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support is available from teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, and respiratory services. The nurse will need to perform various skills such as heparin administration, insulin management, and telemetry monitoring.
