Job Description Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Opening in MichiganLocation: Alma, MI Nearby Cities: Saginaw 45 m, Lansing 55 m Type: Full-Time, Permanent Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation & Hospital Coverage Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist to join its rehabilitation program in Alma, Michigan. The position offers the opportunity to practice all aspects of PM&R in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Practice Overview:18-bed dedicated inpatient rehabilitation unit located on the first floor of the patient care tower Continuum of care available: acute hospitalization ? inpatient rehab ? outpatient services Referral access to subspecialties including orthopedics, neurology, pulmonology, cardiology, and nephrology Inpatient therapy services include: - Physical therapy - Occupational therapy - Speech therapy - Recreational therapy Intense therapy schedule providing 3 hours of therapy daily Simulation and therapeutic passes for real-world practice (e.g., restaurants, banks, grocery stores) Conditions treated include: stroke, brain injury, multiple trauma, spinal cord injury, polyarthritis, amputation, neurological conditions, Guillain-Barré, MS, Parkinson’s, cardiopulmonary disease, neuropathy, and generalized weakness Hospital coverage included with full hospital privileges Compensation & Benefits:Highly competitive compensation plan CME allowance Paid time off (vacation, sick, CME, personal days) Health, pharmacy, dental, vision, and life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Professional liability with tail coverage Relocation allowance Retirement: 403(b) with employer contribution and 457(b) deferred compensation plan About the Area:Alma is a welcoming central Michigan community offering a strong healthcare presence, affordable living, and small-town charm.
