Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and caring Registered Nurse
(RN) to join our Observation Unit team. In line with our mission to
provide compassionate, personalized care, the selected candidate
will play a pivotal role in delivering expert nursing services in a
dynamic environment. Observational units are critical as they
involve closely monitoring patients who aren't ready for discharge
but do not necessarily require intensive care. This position
demands a detail-oriented professional capable of quick
decision-making and effective patient management under minimal
supervision. Monitor patients’ condition and assess their vital
signs, noting any significant changes and responding swiftly to any
complications. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure
compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with the
healthcare team to create and evaluate customized care plans.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and
preventative care recommendations. Ensure documentation is accurate
and reflect the patient's status and care. Facilitate a smooth
transition from the observation unit to other units or discharge by
efficiently coordinating with healthcare team members. Proficiency
in electronic health record (EHR) systems Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills Capability to work effectively both
independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills High level of empathy and commitment to
patient care Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
but not strictly required.
