Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered
Nurse to join our Pre-Operative team, focusing on preparing
patients for surgery by offering personalized care aligned with our
faith-based mission. This role demands a detailed understanding of
pre-surgical procedures, patient education, and compliance with
healthcare regulations. Join our team and contribute to our

personalized patient outcomes. Assess patient health status and
perform preoperative preparations Collaborate with surgeons and
anesthesiologists to discuss case specifics Educate and counsel
patients and families about the surgery process Monitor patient
vital signs and administer pre-operative medications Document
patient history and surgical consent forms accurately Maintain
sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Support patient recovery and provide post-operative care
instructions Strong clinical skills in pre-operative care Ability
to multitask and manage time effectively Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic medical record
(EMR) systems Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment Basic Life
Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Certification preferred
