Job Description:
Ascension seeks a dedicated RN Registered Nurse specializing in
Oncology to join our committed team of healthcare professionals.

will leverage your skills to support patients battling cancer,
providing them with both emotional support and clinical care
tailored to their needs. You will be crucial in helping patients
navigate their treatment options within our faith-based framework,
ensuring a personalized healthcare experience. Administer
medications, chemotherapy, and other oncology treatments. Monitor
patient response to therapy and coordinate care with a
multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. Educate
patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment options, and
preventative care strategies. Document patient care services by
charting in patient and department records. Participate in research
and remain knowledgeable about advances in oncology care. Promote
patient independence by establishing patient care goals and
teaching patients and families to understand conditions. Strong
clinical skills in oncology nursing Proficiency in using medical
software for patient care management Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills to support patient care Critical thinking and
problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively within
interdisciplinary teams Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license in applicable
state Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred BLS certification
required. ACLS may also be required for specific roles.
