Job Description:
Ascension, as a pioneering and faith-based organization, seeks a
compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Neuro Stepdown
Unit. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier, specialized care
to patients with serious neurological issues. The ideal candidate
will be skilled in monitoring complex conditions, equipped with
high emotional and professional resilience, and motivated by a
commitment to healthcare excellence and patient advocacy. Through
collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, nurses in this role
ensure the implementation of effective, personalized treatment
plans aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes. Monitor and
assess patients with significant neurological issues, ensuring
detailed documentation of their medical status. Administer
medications, track symptoms, and update treatment plans in
collaboration with healthcare professionals. Provide post-surgical
care and continuously evaluate patient response to interventions.
Educate patients and their families on condition management and
preventative measures. Participate in rounds and communicate
essential patient information to the multidisciplinary team
Implement patient-centric strategies to minimize discomfort and
accelerate recovery. Maintain a safe, sterile environment compliant
with healthcare regulations and standards. Proficiency in operating
neurological monitoring devices Strong assessment and critical
thinking skills Ability to perform under stressful conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance
