As a dedicated Locum Physician, you will play a crucial role in supporting Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a respected government contractor committed to delivering high-quality care and thorough evaluations. Required Skills: Medical license in the state of Oklahoma Proficiency in musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular assessments Experience with METs testing and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions Ability to perform interview-based exams and physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing Familiarity with Goniometer usage Strong record-keeping skills and ability to submit reports within 48 hours Comfortable using a personal laptop (non-MAC) and VES provider portal Knowledge of Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and record review processes Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience performing Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams Certification in DMA or willingness to obtain certification Experience with electronic health records and portal navigation Ability to handle administrative follow-up, such as addendums and medical opinions Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution Prior experience in internal medicine, family medicine, or orthopedic surgery At least one year of clinical or assessment experience preferred but not mandatory Certification in VA or military-specific assessments is advantageous Other Requirements: Availability to perform exams at VES leased facilities or within your own practice Willingness to perform both half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts Ability to complete VA-required DMA certifications (training provided) Owns a reliable personal laptop (non-MAC) Local candidates only; travel expenses are included in the rate when traveling to VES facilities Commitment to submission of reports within the specified timeframe This position offers a rate of $624.00 per hour, along with a one-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing your first exams.
