Primary Purpose:

A1 Garage Door Service, the industry leader in garage door installation and repair, is looking for an Area Manager to help our employees develop their skills and knowledge. Area Managers are responsible for the growth of the market, carrying out the A1 Vision and Mission while keeping in line with A1G's core values. Area Managers need to have a high-level familiarity with all departments of the company and have a general understanding of how they operate together.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be organized, efficient, and have practical problem-solving skills. You will be interacting with our employees and customers daily and having patient and respectful behavior is a must as you are representing our Garage Door company.

--- Responsible for growth of the Market

--- Growing Market Leads, Technicians, and Installers that are proficient in Sales, Operational and Technical competencies

--- Facilitate Daily Mojo Calls in your markets

--- Verify Employee Timecards every week to ensure no overtime and payroll accuracy

--- Updating Technician Availability on a Monthly Basis

--- Ensure on call availability is updated monthly

--- Development of Apprentices into Graduating to be Technicians, Techs to Sr. Techs, Sr. Techs into Field Supervisors and beyond.

--- Weekly, monthly, biweekly 1 on 1 meetings

--- Weekly communication with each member of your team

--- Understanding of all the manuals of all the positions that impact your success as a market manager.

--- Make sure all scrap metal is collected and that we are receiving compensation

--- Keep a spare truck always stocked in the warehouse

--- Make sure that your warehouse is on lock down and that no inventory comes in or out without your knowledge.

--- Make sure that all market expenses are tracked appropriately

--- Recruiting of new technicians

--- Facilitating apprenticeship program, making sure the market leads and other techs are taking good care of the apprentice and that they are progressing through the apprenticeship

--- Handling complaints and Escalations of customers in the market

--- Utilizing all programs and applications and managing all processes for Market

--- Disciplinary process, Termination and offboarding process

--- Assist with the technician sales line to help techs in the field close deals

--- Any additional tasks, trainings, projects etc as required for advancement of A1G.

Basic Position Requirements:

--- 3-5 years proven related experience

--- Bachelor's Degree preferred; experience required

--- Travel to Markets within regional area when needed.

Abilities:

--- Reliable and Self Motivated

--- Impressive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

--- Solid knowledge of the Market surroundings

--- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

--- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge:

--- Knowledge of computers and tablet use

--- Knowledge of hand tools, mechanical tools, and garage door experience is a plus, but not required.

Training Required:

--- 4 weeks technical training located in Phoenix, Arizona

Working Conditions:

--- Must be able to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short notice.

--- The job environment is fast paced and results oriented.

--- Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license.

--- Must pass Drug test, Background check and Motor Vehicle check.
