Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring at least three years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency. Responsibilities - Position is located in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital - Night shift (3x12s) required - Staffing ratio is 1:3 - Level 3 Trauma Center environment - Weekend shifts required (16 per contract) - No on-call responsibilities - Floating within scope is required, providing helping hands or sitter duties but not taking patients - Epic is the charting system and recent experience is required - Scrub color varies by unit - Deliver nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a Level 3 Trauma setting - Must complete all required onboarding modules before start date - No holiday RTO is permitted, and maximum 5 days of RTO can be approved for the 13-week contract; no additional RTO allowed after submission - Zero-fault attendance policy applies; all missed shifts are unexcused and may result in cancellation after three absences - Free parking is provided - Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers - Block scheduling or special scheduling requests are not accommodated Requirements - Active OK or compact RN license required at the time of consideration - Minimum of three years recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required - At least two prior successful travel assignments are required; first time travelers are not accepted - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required - AWHONN Intermediate and STABLE certifications are preferred - Epic charting experience required, with recent use preferred - No background or license issues permitted - One manager or supervisor reference from the past year in the specialty required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627870.
