Atlassian Cloud IT Systems Administrator IV (FULL REMOTE) Atlassian Jira and Confluence Administration - IT Content and Collaboration Services Team (IT Operations) Overview: Myriad Genetics is looking for an experienced systems administrator to join our IT Content and Collaborations Services team and help guide our cloud transformation. This team is responsible for supporting Myriad's various employee-collaboration focused SaaS platforms such as Atlassian Cloud, Office 365, and OpenText. Core Responsibilities: The primary focus of this role is supporting Myriad's Atlassian Jira, JSM and Confluence environments. Daily work will involve leading out on the expanded adoption of Atlassian Cloud for Enterprise-wide usage, as well as improving governance and IT controls for the platform. This individual will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders in the business to help understand and translate their business processes into efficient workflows using features in Atlassian Jira & Confluence. In addition to the project-based work listed above, this position will also be responsible for assisting with escalated support tickets from employees who use or are migrating into Atlassian Cloud. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Project & Task Management - Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with a broad range of department leaders, project teams, and vendors regarding IT & Enterprise initiatives. Participation in daily 15-minute team standups, weekly SCRUM meetings, and other working sessions as scheduled via Microsoft Teams.
  • Technical Writing and Documentation - Create and maintain excellent documentation within our IT Knowledge Base repositories and ticketing system (SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, and JSM). Qualifications:
    • Formal Education - BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
    • Work Experience - At least 5+ years of relevant technical experience, preferably at a medium to large enterprise (Healthcare industry experience a plus)
    • Atlassian Jira and Confluence Administration - Previous experience managing Jira Software and Jira Service Management projects in an enterprise environment. Ability to create and maintain complex workflows, with special attention to providing a great end-user experience. Deep understanding of the core features within Jira, as well as advanced functionality utilized in custom implementations of Jira Software and JSM Projects. Preferred Experience: In addition to the items listed above, preference will be given to candidates who have experience with the following:
      • Provide vision and strategy for the use of Atlassian tools within an organization. Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders and users to align on strategy.
      • Ability to recognize and promote opportunities to match business requirements with technical solutions.
      • Project Management and organizational Skills - someone who takes ownership and initiative even in a remote setting. Needs to be well organized, able to capture and prioritize tasks, and report on them to IT leadership.
      • Enterprise Implementation Experience - Able to gather requirements and assist non-technical teams with the creation of stateful process workflows using all the features available within an Enterprise implementation Jira, JSM, and Confluence.
      • Understanding and ability to use the Atlassian Cloud API for bulk maintenance or advanced information gathering.
      • Agile Development Background - Understanding of agile and scrum concepts is a plus but not a hard requirement.
      • PowerShell experience a plus but not a hard requirement. A successful candidate will demonstrate:
        • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills - must be a great communicator, both verbally and written.
        • The ability to utilize a high degree of creativity, analytical thinking, and initiative to solve business problems and work well with others.
        • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a remote environment. Having a solid internet connection, great headset, and a quiet space for Teams meetings is a must.
        • Timely attendance and participation in any scheduled meetings or working sessions.
        • Ability to prioritize and balance duties in a fast-paced environment.
        • A positive and proactive attitude to anticipate and plan for future needs and opportunities.
        • The desire to share knowledge amongst the team through cross-training and documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
        • Past examples and experience managing systems and projects through all phases of the system/project lifecycle.
