Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leading global retailer, is looking for a
Principal Software Engineer for Back End development to join our
dynamic IT team. This position is pivotal in developing scalable
and secure applications that power the shopping experience of
millions daily. The successful candidate will architect
high-performance systems, innovate relentlessly, and lead projects
that form the backbone of our retail and online infrastructure.
This role requires deep expertise in back-end technologies, a
passion for solving complex problems, and a commitment to
transforming the retail landscape through technology. Design,
develop, and maintain scalable and resilient back-end systems and
services. Lead the architecture and implementation of new features
and optimizations to existing systems. Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to define system requirements, integrate
systems, and deliver high-quality software. Mentor junior
engineers, review code, and ensure adherence to software
development best practices. Contribute to the overall strategy and
mission, participating actively in regular team meetings and
product roadmaps. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose
adaptations and upgrades to keep Walmart’s IT infrastructure at the
cutting edge. Expertise in backend programming languages such as
Java, Python, Ruby, or .NET Experience with database management and
cache mechanisms (SQL, NoSQL, Redis, etc.) Proficiency in
developing RESTful APIs and microservices Strong understanding of
scalable architecture and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines Ability to
write clean, maintainable, and efficient code Medical Insurance
