What You'll Do

The Assistant Engineer is responsible for a general maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.

The successful candidate will be able to:

* Assist in monitoring building system operations and performance with moderate supervision * Utilize several trades skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling * Maintain all equipment as required per preventative maintenance programs prescribed by manufacturer's specifications * Document and report activities to supervisor * Respond to emergency situations (fire, flood, equipment failures, etc.) * Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC * May be the only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations; may require shift work and/or call duties * Help with other aspects of building maintenance as required

What You'll Bring

* High school diploma or GED required * Two years of related experience and/or trade school training required * Valid Oklahoma driver's license * Must have a passion for excellence * Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills * Professionalism displayed through sound judgement, initiative, and flexibility * Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills * Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills * Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions * Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give directions to others * Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful situations * Demonstrate maturity and accountability
