Job Description:

Metro Christian Academy, a college preparatory school offering students a true college preparatory experience in a distinctly Christian environment, seeks a full-time Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant supports the day-to-day operations, communications, and development of the office of the Head of School. The Executive Assistant provides advanced level administrative support that is often confidential and sensitive in nature. This position serves as the first point of contact and as an extension of the Head of School. The ideal candidate demonstrates poise and Christian professionalism and supports Metro's mission, vision, and motto the pursuit of excellence through Christ.Essential Functions:Serves as a liaison, an amanuensis, and a secretary for the Head of School.Schedules, organizes, and maintains the Head of School's appointments and calendar.Prepares the Head of School for each day by presenting the calendar and all pertinent materials.Manages all dealings missionally-according to biblical principles, best practices, and board policies.Attends various meetings-documents and distributes meeting notes as assigned by the Head of School.Executes administrative duties at the highest level-including managing time-sensitive and/or confidential matters.Initiates or drafts responses to various issues on behalf of the Head of School and proofreads all materials to ensure accuracy.Coordinates projects, activities, and events for the Head of School and ensures orderliness of arrangements before, during, and after.Manages multiple, simultaneous priorities and deadlines expeditiously, reliably, timely, and with considerable discretion, judgment, and care.Triages and makes phone calls and other communiqu--s on behalf of the Head of School and directs aforenoted to other persons as appropriate.Works cooperatively and collaboratively with other departments and staff members to create a high-functioning team that sets and achieves goals.Researches, assembles, and presents various data, reports, and projects for the Head of School-having verified for accuracy, pertinence, and completeness.Plans, prepares, and oversees all aspects of meetings for the Head of School, including but not limited to guest list, invitations, itinerary, agenda, hospitality, a/v and IT support, etc.Provides administrative, editorial, and secretarial support for the Head of School in boardsmanship, capital campaign, writing projects, speaking engagements, consulting efforts, Christian school advocacy, and other institutional advancement.Provides support for Metro's back-office personnel including, but not limited to, procuring, organizing, and maintaining office supplies, supply closet, workroom, conference room, and lounge; maintaining postage machine and other office equipment; maintaining nameplates on teachers' mailboxes.Coordinates all school calendars, condolences, phone calls, and other communiqu--s as deemed appropriate.Performs other related work as requested by the Head of School.This is a full-time, twelve-month position working a weekly schedule of Monday-Thursday, 7am-4:30pm, and Friday, 8am-noon. Reduced hours and schedule during June and July. Some variation of schedule may be required depending on the needs of the office.Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and three to five years' administrative experience, preferably working in a school setting, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and expertise which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.Metro Christian Academy is committed to employing outstanding professionals, who are dedicated Christians striving to follow Jesus as disciples.
