What You'll Do The Patient Access Representative is an integral part of the Hillcrest team. The Patient Access Representative are responsible for being the first point of contact for patients and accurately assisting them with their medical care, while providing excellent customer service and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Collecting information such as patient details, medical history, billing, insurance information, etc. Accurately informing patients and their caregivers of hospital procedures, policies and protocols Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in improvement plans Reviewing and assisting others with their work and/or mentoring new employees Working on special projects as needed Assisting patients with their questions, concerns and/or issues Preparing admission and discharge documentation Performing administrative tasks with high efficiency, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor Demonstrating compassion and professional demeanor at all times What You'll Bring Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent A minimum of three (3) years' experience is preferred, but not required. Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge level of medical terminology and insurance plans, and/or the willingness to learn Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong administrative and organizational skills Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge level of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc..), and be willing to learn other company specific software as needed Be willing and able to maintain professional standards of practice and adhere to Hillcrest's Code of Conduct policies at all times What We Offer Competitive pay Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance 401k with Company match Company paid basic life insurance and long-term disability coverage Generous paid time off (PTO), including additional extended illness bank Tuition Reimbursement Advancement and career development opportunities
