constitute two, three, or four-piece components of various custom
engineered sizes that are typically laser welded or tig welded in
accordance with AWS and/or ASME Codes.
Operate fabrication equipment (semi-automated, lathe and hand-held
TiG in horizontal position, MiG and Laser Welders) in the
manufacture and test of rupture disk and/or other pressure relief
devices, from beginning to end, in accordance with defined
Calculate, program, set controls, and monitor laser welder
operations; perform trial set up runs to verify and capture machine
settings and/or program control data that are verified using weld
section, dye penetrant, and leak test methods.
Weld products that perform strictly within defined pressure ranges
and tolerances, and according to AWS and/or ASME codes. Workmanship
quality verified by weld section review with engineering.
Fusion welding with and without filler (autogenous).
Work with colleagues in Production, Materials, Engineering and
other plant functions where appropriate to achieve various
production, quality, and lead time KPI targets.
Participate in maintaining a high-quality manufacturing
environment. Contribute suggestions that will improve products, and
processes which in turn deliver quality, productivity, and
Comply with all safety procedures and regulations. Suggest methods
to improve safety and efficiency where applicable.
Monitor tooling and equipment in areas of responsibility; report
repairs, upgrades, or replacement to Maintenance.
