effective negotiator? We are expanding our agriculture team in the
Midwest (IN, MI, WI, IL) and have a Technical Sales Consultant role
waiting for you! We partner with our customers to provide technical
sales and service of our biological products. In this role, you
will have the ability to work remotely while supporting our growers
and partners in a dynamic environment. You will promote the high
level of Koppert services and the added value of our technical
expertise by developing programs for clients and expanding the use
of Koppert products as a first line of defense in crop protection.
You will be responsible for territory development, sales, and
service of Koppert's product lines primarily in Wisconsin but may
spend time in neighboring states as well. Duties and
Responsibilities - Build and develop customer relationships to gain
a deep understanding of customer needs and agronomic strategies for
the territory. - Achieve sales targets and manage accurate
forecasting within the designated territory. - Identify and pursue
new market opportunities. - Expand market portfolio by utilizing
all Koppert resources to turn prospects into customers. -
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, growers' meetings,
seminars and working with extension offices and centers of
influence to reinforce our lead generation, networking, and brand
awareness efforts. .Requirements: Skills and Qualifications -
Ability to listen, ask good questions, and develop trust in your
relationships with customers and peers. - Ability to prioritize
tasks in a dynamic work environment and work independently with
minimal supervision. - Proven track record of successful territory
development and achieving sales growth targets. - Ability to
negotiate, mediate and resolve conflict. - Ability to communicate
effectively and professionally, both written and verbal. - Ability
to write both technically and commercially. - Ability to work
harmoniously with other departments within the Koppert family. -
Strong computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite,
CRM software. Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree or
higher required. Degree in Horticulture or Agricultural-related
field preferred; or equivalent industry experience required. - 2+
years of experience with agriculture sales/farming markets. -
Experience directly in the agriculture/horticulture market as a
grower or IPM staff member is strongly preferred. Working
Conditions - This job operates part time on the road and part time
from a remote office. - Frequent amount of travel to visit
customers, trade shows, and company meetings (60%). - Regular
exposure to bumble bees and other insects. - Extended periods of
time spent in front of the computer and on the phone. Physical
Requirements - Ability to regularly sit for long periods of time. -
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. - Ability to
travel (air and ground) up to 50%, with minimal international
travel. - Ability to regularly maneuver in and out of greenhouse
transportation devices. - Ability to endure heat or humidity for
periods of time. - Ability to control emotions under various levels
of pressures, stress, and fast-paced activities. What We Offer
