STATEMENT:General purpose for this job (what is done and why).The
Quality Assurance (QA) Lead develops and oversees the Quality Test
strategy and methodology for the IT organization to ensure quality
software applications deliver on the business need. This role works
in a framework with five key areas that help support our strong IT
organization: (1) Strategy, (2) Project Execution, (3) Non-Stop
Operations/Fiscal Discipline, (4) Process Improvement/Governance
and (5) Talent. In addition to the above framework we place a high

RESPONSIBILITIESMajority of duties performed, but not meant to be
all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as
necessary. Non-essential functions identified with an asterisk
'*'Here's what you'll be doing---Your primary responsibility will
be successful delivery of a multi-year agile projects with
significant impact to the enterprise.
- Determine project quality test approach, manages project
quality test activity; determines work priorities; and defines
project quality test objectives.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, business technologists,
and others to understand business goals and information needs.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies to understand user stories and
ensure a high quality user experience.
- Develop test plans based on user stories and acceptance
criteria, write test cases/scripts, develops test case automation,
performs test execution and reports defects and issues.
- Lead the overall quality test effort including offshore using
creative approaches to problem solving and quality
deliverables.
- Use analytics tools such as Glassbox to determine error rates,
device/browser usage and troubleshooting.
- Create, edit and publish content for different format,
multimedia, channels and platforms for testing.
- Perform quality audits across the various IT functions to
ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being
followed.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to ensure
processes include best practices.
- Track and report on key quality assurance metrics to identify
gaps and improve processes.
- Partner with our Scrum development team to ensure code releases
provide maximum business value and minimize operational
interruptions, while protecting the targeted release
cadence.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:Minimum education,
experience, technical, and communication skill levels, and
licenses/certificates normally required performing the duties of
this position.We're looking for someone like this---
- Extensive knowledge of the software development process,
including development tools and technologies, release and version
control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment
management
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance testing of web
technologies in an agile delivery environment
- In-depth knowledge of test plan development, test case
development and execution
- Experience working with cross-functionality delivery teams that
include UX, business analysts, developers, content managers and
supporting roles such as Information Security
- Thorough knowledge of utilizing business applications for
competitive advantage
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of business needs
- Thorough knowledge of analysis, design, and implementation
experience with technologies
- Experience with CMS tool such as Sitecore required
- Technical proficiency in hardware and systems software
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage client
expectations
- Ability to develop and deliver project using leading-edge
technology
- Ability to present and explain technical information in a way
that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains
understanding
- Experience with Jira and ALM Quality Center
- Experience with Scrum or other similar agile methodology
- Experience with services API testing tools such as Postman or
ReadyAPI
- Experience with test automation such as TestComplete or
Selenium
- Proficiency in programming language such as JavaScript
preferred
- Knowledge of source code repository tools such as BitBucket or
GitHub
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps preferred
- Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows Servers preferredThis
level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration,
Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology
focus; at least 7 years of experience in IT Quality Assurance which
includes at least 5 years experience in information technology or
10 years related business experience. Prior experience within
financial services and CSTP (Certified Software Test Professional)
is preferred but not required.Is this you?PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe
physical effort generally associated with this position.Work
normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to
operate computer keyboard and mobile device at a high skill level.
Work may require occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying 20-pound
objects such as files, documents, and computer printouts. Work
involves sitting most of the time, but may involve standing and
walking for brief periods of time. WORKING
RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTSPositions, other than supervisor and
immediate co-workers, with which incumbent have frequent contact
and the reason for contact.Internal - regular contact with
co-workers, supervisors, and management within the Operations &
Technology Division; may also require contact with key employees in
other areas of the bank.External - may require contact with outside
vendors and suppliers for informational purposes. Supervision of
others - oversight of work by offshore tester
