We are looking for a Credit Rep in our corporate headquarters.The following will detail the job description and employment qualifications for BFP's Credit Services Representative position: Job Description Use of D & B in the U.S. and Canada.Handles credit review, analysis and approval process for commercial accounts in an established geographical area. Resource use of internet. Direct communication with customer's to discuss their financial performance, request information and review payment terms. Obtain bank and trade reference information either by mail, fax, email or phone. The review process will include risk/reward considerations.Manage the collection requirements for between 500-600 active accounts in their assigned area.Initiate weekly collection review on all past due accounts based upon established terms.Use of phone, fax, email or letter.Manage the collection letter process for their area.Recommend to the Corporate Credit Manager for next level collection action.Initiate credit hold and/or change of credit limit or terms Responsible for monthly report on assigned accounts with balances greater than 1k and over 60 days.The collection review process will include risk/reward considerations If necessary, coordinate collection strategies to incorporate sales staff.Responsible for reconciliation of A/R for their area.Propose adjustments as appropriate.Responsible for managing resolution of disputed invoices.Department hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., some shift rotation may occur. Job QualificationsTwo years minimum credit experience.Proven commercial credit and collection skills.Ability to prioritize and multi-task large volume of accounts.Working knowledge and use of Word, Excel and Outlook.Excellent communication skills, written and oral.Knowledge of Canadian credit and collection practices a plus.
