How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As Customer Master Data Specialist your primary function is to review and analyze all proposed, relevant changes and/or new additions pertaining to the Customer Master to ensure the accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures set by the company.

In order to be successful in this position, qualified candidates should be trainable, take directions well, and be a quick learner. In addition, the successful candidate must have excellent research and follow-up skills, as well as be able to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsible for all regional pricing administration and customer-master functions within the Central Division sales organization.

  • Create and maintain SAP global master data in the areas of the Customer Master/Pricing and other related areas in SAP.
  • Support training and communication of functional master data standards, definitions, processes, policies and tools to internal Airgas associates.
  • Review/analyze incoming master data request to determine desired outcome and proper course of action to take.
  • Investigate customer accounts in SAP, researching Ship To level, Sold To level and Billing/Payer structure as it relates to the Partnership functionality of customer's account.
  • Work with other departments and/or teams, ( i.e. Customer Service(A/R), Tax, Accounting, A/P, Sales, etc.) to coordinate master data requirements to ensure data consistency and integrity.
  • Obtain, analyze, and process all field generated requests related to new customer pricing agreements and changes to existing customer pricing agreements.
  • Maintain pricing database for Central Division sales organization including daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance items.
  • Obtain, analyze, and process all field generated requests related to special or seasonal pricing initiatives.
  • Accountable for validation of all pricing inputs to verify levels meet the sales organization criteria and goals.
  • Effectively communicate to Division support staff and field associates any pricing discrepancies and/or issues in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain all Central Division customer master partnerships and related customer master data to ensure proper structures and pricing hierarchies.
  • Review and approve credit memos related to pricing.


    Are you a MATCH?

    • High school diploma or equivalent, college education preferred.
    • Experience with data organization strongly desired.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with SAP and/or ERP systems.
    • A history of working within a fast paced growth environment with an appropriate balance of urgency and quality.
    • Knowledge of customer hierarchy and master data records.
    • Proven ability prioritizing and dealing with multiple tasks.
    • Possess excellent interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong computer skills (Google Sheets and Excel).
    • Ability to communicate effectively; verbally and in written.
    • Ability to apply policies and standards consistently.
    • Successful candidate must have a strong "customer experience" mindset.
    • Strong attention to details, ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task or responsibility.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to work in team environment within a complex, matrixed organization .
