The RCM Subsidiary Billing Supervisor position oversees all aspects of subsidiary Accounts Receivable billing and collections front to back. The position directly supervises employees performing these RCM responsibilities and is responsible for employee recruitment, monitoring, development and performance feedback.Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of previous supervisor experience in related field
• Demonstrated ability to positively and successfully supervise teams to meet objectives. Must be committed to employee mentoring and development, employee training, and positive employee relationships
• Strong, professional oral and written communication skills is essential to oversee employees working at home and where the primary mode of communication is conference calls and email
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of laboratory billing and accounts receivable processes
• Ability to evaluate, recommend and develop or improve processes
• Competent and skilled with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Comfortable and skilled with using diverse accounts receivable and other software and technologyPreferred Skills:
  • Preference to candidates with previous experience within Labcorp subsidiary billing
  • Preference to candidates who are knowledgeable on Xifin, Telcor and other subsidiary billing systemsSpecific Responsibilities:
    • Employee Supervision including but not limited to:
      • Hiring, retention, training and exiting of employees
      • Ensure employees are knowledgeable in and adhere to Labcorp policies, procedures, and SOPs
      • Daily and weekly timecard responsibilities
      • Formal documentation of employee performance and performance discussions
      • Formal documentation of employee performance objectives
      • Employee evaluations
      • Monitoring of employee performance, accuracy and productivity
      • Ensure successful performance of the following subsidiary billing processes, including but not limited to
        • Order Entry
        • Pre-Billing
        • Test add-on and cancellations
        • Claims editing and claims submission, corrected claims
        • Full accounts receivable collections (insurance, patient, client)
        • Working accounts denied, unresponded or underpaid
        • Cash and remittance posting
        • Timely resolution of credit balances
        • Client billing and collections
        • Patient and client Customer Service
        • Responding to multiple and diverse types of correspondence
        • Responding to multiple and diverse medical records and or / audit requests
        • Respond to information or project requests from Labcorp corporateThe RCM Subsidiary Billing Supervisor position is responsible for monitoring the above tasks to ensure successful and timely collection of AR. The supervisor is expected to monitor processes to ensure they are completed as expected and on time, identify when workload needs shifted for absences or backlog, and to research for root cause of problems. The supervisor will maintain excellent communication with leadership and bring forward issues or unusual situations that could bring financial or other risk to the subsidiary. This exempt position reports to and is supported by the RCM Subsidiary Billing Manager. The position works collaboratively with a second RCM Subsidiary Supervisor position.
