Job Description:

-Summary: As an Installer, you will perform all necessary carpentry work. Safely and efficiently perform installation duties according to approved methods as instructed by your crew foreman and/or production manager. -Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Measures, shapes, adjusts, trims, and sands parts
• Cuts materials and components to size, using power saws or hand saws. -
• Applies glue and inserts dowels, nails, or screws to fasten parts together to form complete units. -
• Performs necessary carpentry work. -
• Possession of basic tools and transportation to job sites.
• Joins component parts together or attaches components to structure or building, using screws, bolts, nails and hand tools and power tools. -
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet deadlines. -Qualifications:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Able to understand blueprint drawings and written specifications
  • Understand work orders, change orders
  • Responds appropriately to requests and communicates clearly, accurately, and promptly.

  • Ability to formulate basic questions relevant to clarifying a problem, topic, or issue.
  • Adapts to new techniques and technologies that are introduced to the work area. -Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use and interpret a tape measure using 1/16ths. -Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. -Physical Demands:The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands, fingers, handle, reach with hands and arms.
