Job Description:
Basic Function
Supports Category Manager in category research, analysis, category
management, sourcing projects, and provides key metric reporting on
procurement value delivery.
Job Duties
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their
superior or other local VP's or managers, as determined from time
to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years' of Procurement, Accounting, Finance or
related Business experience is required.
PREFERRED Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years' experience in the oil and gas industry
is preferred.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or
related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree,
is required.
Required Skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Excel (e.g., V-Lookup, pivot
tables); written and verbal communication; and strong analytical
skills. Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
complex requirements. Intermediate reading, writing and
mathematical skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience with SAP and/ or eProcurement systems is preferred, as
well as, experience with commodity codes and GL mapping.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the supervision of contract workers.
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 20% travel by land and air required.
Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors
environment, and driver based environment including but not limited
to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, fumes
and airborne particles. Subject to all temperatures, weather and
varying road conditions. May be required to work extended hours and
regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and varying road
conditions.
Physical Requirements
Job conditions require sitting, talking or hearing, making visual
inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or
grasping, lifting/ carrying/ pushing/ pulling up to 25lbs,
perceiving color differences, and wearing personal protective
equipment (beards not permitted). Job conditions may require
standing, walking, and twisting, stooping, crouching, and
kneeling.
