The Sales Representative helps us strengthen our customer relationships and continue our long-term growth trajectory.WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: The Area Sales Representative at Komptech Americas is an intelligent, independent, organized, and self-driven individual who develops, executes, manages, and reports on ongoing sales and customer support efforts with guidance from the Senior Area Sales Representative within a specified regional territory. They have made themselves deeply familiar with the Komptech product portfolio, customer applications and waste and recycling markets. The Area Sales Representative takes a consultative approach to help clients understand their challenges and see new opportunities. In addition, they educate clients on best practices and technologies to help them succeed.The Area Sales Representative has a passion for helping customers. They are constantly focused on delivering only quality sales service while self-prioritizing responsibilities and tasks to maintain a profitable and productive sales pipeline. They rely on their solid understanding of the B2B/capital expenditure sales process and communicate effectively and professionally. In addition, they efficiently utilize sales enablement tools, including Salesforce CRM and the Microsoft Office suite of products.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Increase sales to end-users emphasizing technical advantages over competitor products.Generate new sales qualified leads through cold calling and customer visits.Facilitate stationary equipment sales while working closely with sales engineers and project managers. Develop strategies and tactical plans to achieve the region's quarterly and annual sales targets.Provide first-line product and customer support to become the primary liaison with Komptech customers. Work with existing customers to enable ongoing preventative maintenance inspections and equipment training.Utilize Salesforce CRM and other digital sales enablement tools to streamline the sales process, enable accurate reporting and improve customer support.Supply ongoing technical information and advice on the Komptech product portfolio to customers.Provide machine demonstrations, setups, and customer training sessions for the Komptech equipment line and components across various applications to support sales.Travel throughout California. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, Business Degree preferred.Energetic, highly motivated, organized team player who forms professional relationships easily.Must be currently located in California.Mechanically inclined.General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to communicate effectively and confidently to convey information to both technically trained and non-technical customers.Competence to present Komptech solutions and product differentiation effectively at various customer organizational levels.High-level interpersonal skills to guide and negotiate potential customers toward recommended product solutions.Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-managed with excellent organizational and time management skills to perform productively with minimal supervision.Inherent perseverance to consistently engage and follow up with open leads to convert and close them into won sales opportunities.Ability to research and understand industry and technical product information to convert it verbally and visually into engaging material that helps educate and guide customers toward solutions that are right for their unique needs.
